Awards can be a lot of fun, but only if the people putting them on are happy to do it. These things take time and effort, and with the times, jobs, family, and other commitments/troubles, it can just be too damned much. Don't worry or trouble yourself over this. Fandom's true celebrations come through the stories, friends and personal accomplishments--awards like you've put on are perks, a gift that should be seen as unexpected and a surprise, not a given.
